Instructions for students, faculty, and staff who test positive for COVID-19
Stay home when ill (do not attend classes or on-campus work) until:
Even though self-isolation is no longer a Public Health requirement, we continue to ask our students and staff who are symptomatic to make the right choice and stay home to avoid bringing COVID-19 and other illnesses into classes, workspaces, and campus services.
Everyone is strongly encouraged to exercise caution in their activities: maintaining appropriate distancing from others; following standard hygiene best practices; following Public Health guidelines for mask-wearing. For more information on what to do in case of infection, visit the .
Instructions for students on how to pick up rapid tests
If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, you should stay home as much as possible until you are able to be tested. Rapid antigen tests (self-test kits) are available for pick up . Avoid any in-person interaction with others. If you must be around others, maintain your distance as much as possible and wear a mask.
Additional instructions for students
Students are responsible to inform their instructor(s) of their illness and follow their course and/or program’s policy for student illness and missed classes.
Additional instructions for employees
Employees who have tested positive for COVID-19, or are symptomatic, should refrain from working on campus. Employees who are able to work from home are encouraged to do so if they are feeling well enough to conduct their work. If an employee is required to miss work due to COVID-19, they should take sick leave in accordance with the provisions of their respective collective agreement or terms and conditions.
Masks no longer required in most classrooms but remain welcome in all campus spaces
Masks are no longer required in indoor instructional spaces during scheduled teaching time. Masks continue to be welcome in all campus spaces, and we encourage those who wish to continue wearing them during instructional time to do so.
Masks may still be required in some clinical learning settings details will be communicated by those departments or areas directly.
Keep your distance when possible or requested — and stay safe by wearing your mask in gathering spaces.
Protect yourself and others by staying current with recommended vaccine(s) as they are made available to you.
