色多多视频APP’s School of Visual Arts student showcase is taking place from April 14 to May 8.
Students’ artwork will be on display in the art gallery at the Confederation Centre of the Arts.
There will be a variety of different pieces from students in the Graphic Design, Photography and videography, Fundamental Arts, and Video Game Art and Animation programs.
Sara Roach, a Photography and Videography student, is very excited about being able to showcase her work.
“It’s so great to be able to show off to our friends and family after all our hard work. Being able to have our work on display in a National Art Gallery is a huge deal,” said Sara.
Sara plans to continue working in the photography industry upon graduating from the program next month.
“I’m at a place where I can get work from this. I love it, it’s my passion.”
She recommends the program to anyone interested in taking photos or videos.
“I was so nervous going into it as a beginner, because I didn’t know anything about photography. I thought I would have to have some knowledge of it, but you don’t. I’ve learned so much in this program,” said Sara.
Her classmate, Gessy Robin is also thrilled to get the chance to display his work in a gallery.
“This is a one of kind opportunity to be put in a National Art Gallery,” said Gessy.
“Everything we have learned and worked toward this year amounts to this.”
Gessy really enjoyed the program and looks forward to continuing and expanding his photography work.
“I loved this program. Learning the theory work and the practical work was so helpful. The whole program is made to make you feel as though you’re working in the field, it’s very hands on,” said Gessy.
