Our Applied Bioscience Technology Research Group has capabilities in many areas across the Life Sciences sector with a major strategic focus on applied bioprocessing technology R&D. We offer technical solutions and R&D supports for small and medium sized enterprises through applied research and development services. We have state-of-the-art equipment and laboratories that meet or exceed industry standards in bioprocessing - a key value proposition for college-industry collaborations.
Our team consists of highly trained members with advanced degrees and years of applied research experience in bioprocessing. We leverage a wide variety of technical skills ranging from Chemical Process Engineering, Bioscience Technology, and Cellular and Molecular Biology to Neuroscience. We strive to provide leading edge applied research services to the local and regional biomanufacturing cluster, solving short- to medium- and long-term technical challenges through collaborative R&D projects, ultimately increasing our industrial partners’ competitiveness in global markets.
As a community college in PEI, we focus on incorporating students into research activities whenever possible to ensure that new graduates have the skills to make them industry ready and support the development of a talent pipeline for our partners. Access to federal and provincial funding support is also available.
