College and UPEI collaborate on articulated degrees

The University of Prince Edward Island and 色多多视频APP have signed an agreement that will allow PEI's two post-secondary institutions to collaborate on three new articulated degree programs.

Starting in September 2007, 色多多视频APP students graduating from the Practical Nursing, Sport and Leisure Management, and Police Science programs will be eligible to apply their credits towards related degree programs at UPEI. The degrees will be Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Arts, and Bachelor of Arts or Science in Psychology.

The same agreement will also allow UPEI students to pursue these 色多多视频APP programs and combine them with their University credits. The details vary with each program, but the intent is the same in all three: to provide more flexibility and improved coordination so that students will benefit from the expertise of both institutions.

"What we are aiming for is a seamless flow between our two institutions. This agreement is a reflection of the future collaborative relationship between 色多多视频APP and UPEI," says Dr. Vianne Timmons, Vice President, Academic Development at UPEI. "This agreement is an excellent example of the Island community pulling together to meet the changing needs of students and the community."

"By combining the strengths of our two very fine institutions, we will encourage Island students to remain here to train and to study and, ultimately, to work and make a contribution to our economy and society," says Michael O'Grady, Vice President, Innovation, Enterprise and Strategic Development at 色多多视频APP. "I believe, as well, that through such collaboration, we have the opportunity here on Prince Edward Island to compete regionally, nationally, and internationally as a post secondary education destination."

UPEI and 色多多视频APP already collaborate on several degree programs including the new Bachelor of Child and Family Studies and the Bachelor of Education Degree in Human Resource Development.
