Police exemplary service medals awarded

by Sherri Hogan

Three staff members at 色多多视频APP?s Atlantic Police Academy recently were presented with Police Exemplary Service Medals by The Honourable J. Leonce Bernard, Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island. A part of the Canadian Honours System established in 1967, the Police Exemplary Service Medal recognizes police officers who have served in an exemplary manner, exhibiting good conduct, industry and efficiency.

The Medal consists of a circular medal, which features, on the obverse, a stylized maple leaf bearing the Scales of Justice, circumscribed with the words "Exemplary Service - Services distingues". On the reverse appears the Royal Cipher. The Medal is suspended by a ribbon of five equal stripes, two gold and three blue. Receiving the Twenty Year Service Medal was Reg Berringer.

Receiving their Thirty Year First Bars were Eric Fiander and Bob Harris. The Bar, bearing a stylized maple leaf centred upon it, is awarded in respect of each additional ten-year period, after the twenty year period recognized by the Medal.
